Chairman's Message

Esports in India is standing at a defining moment. What once began as casual play is now growing into a powerful movement of passion, digital skill, and community. As this space continues to evolve, there also comes a responsibility to guide it, to protect it, and to ensure that it grows with purpose.

The Gaming Welfare Council has been created with a simple belief: every player should be able to participate with clarity, dignity, and opportunity. Our mission is not only to encourage competitive excellence, but also to build awareness, strengthen welfare, and promote ethics and trust across the ecosystem. We want parents to feel confident, players to feel supported, and the community to feel included.

India already has the talent and the dreams. Our role is to help create the structure so that the journey remains safe, sustainable, and future-ready.

We seek to see esports grow as a recognised, ethical, and opportunity-driven space that contributes positively to society and the digital future of the nation.

Mission of the Council

Our mission is to strengthen the foundation of esports in India by encouraging awareness, welfare, and responsible participation across the gaming community. We aim to support players and stakeholders through education-led initiatives, ethical guidance, and transparent ecosystem practices, while working in alignment with India’s evolving digital and sports environment. Through collaboration, trust, and long-term thinking, we are committed to contributing to a sustainable, inclusive, and future-ready esports landscape.
